The pitch is what categorizes the size of the chain. The larger the pitch, the higher the load rating. Chains with small pitches carry smaller loads, operate more quietly, and at higher speeds. This sprocket is also evenly coated with black oxide, which adds resistance to to the environment and will prevent early rust build up. 40A70 sprockets with a stock bore comes with a 23/32″ inside diameter plain hole and can be easily machine bored to custom sizes.
